FOODS IN KIDNEY DISORDERS
Here are some suggestions for the food items to be taken and avoided in kidney disorders:
Foods avoided:
- Soyabean, banana, kiwi, lemon, squash, avocado, raisins, tomatoes, meat, fish, egg chicken, spinach, potatoes, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli.
- Cheese, Curd, Nuts, and dry fruits like almonds, cashew nuts, hazel nuts, chick peas,
- Non-fatty milk powder, Biscuits, namkeens, maggi, pasta, butter honey, milk cream.
Foods allowed:
- Apples. water melon, apricots, pears, peaches, oranges, papaya, figs, pineapple, pomegranate
- Ridge gourd, pumpkin, bottle gourd, round gourd, radish, carrot, eggplant, onion, cabbage, bell pepper, lettuce, capsicum, garlic, ginger, peas (boil before use)
- Millets, moong dal, tuar dal (in less quantity)
Chronic kidney disease is a progressive disease which leaves the patient with depression and state of no hope.
But, some important changes in the diet may give magical results to the patients and give them motivation.
The above mentioned food items are tried and tested which have shown tremendous results in the cases of Chronic kidney conditions.
But, always consult your physician before making any changes in the diet in such conditions.
